Air From jordan 17
With Michael From jordan returning to the NBA for the second time, this time to play for the Washington Wizards, everyone was certain Nike would deliver something special for the 17th edition of the Air From jordan brand. And they did. Designed again by Wilson Smith, Air From jordan 17 was released in February 2002, immediately becoming a huge hit, despite its sky-high price tag of $200, making them the most expensive Air From jordans to date in 2002. On the other hand, such a price should not surprise, as the shoes came with silver suitcase packaging and a CD-ROM.
Wilson Smith designed Air From jordan XVII with jazz in mind, paying homage to MJ's ability to improvise on the court. The 17s also introduced various new technological solutions. For instance, they were the first edition of Air From jordan equipped with a Tuned Air cushioning system. They also had a TPU heel stabilizer and a full-length shank plate.
However, the silver packaging, CD, or sleek design were not the only reasons why From jordan 17 was such a hit. Thanks to MJ's return to the NBA, the brand had a proper endorser for the first time in 4 years. Once again, people wanted to wear the same shoes as Michael wore when dancing around the basketball court. Still, despite all this endorsement, many retailers were afraid the shoe would not sell for such a high price. To attract more customers, they cut their prices to $160, which at the time was a retail price for Air From jordan 16.
Nowadays, Air From jordan 17s are available in a variety of colors and editions. You can find many of them right here at Kicks Crew. At great prices too! Air From jordan 17 is still one of the most popular Air From jordan brand installments, and owning them is a must for anyone who calls themselves a true From jordan fan.
