Starting his career at an early age, Michael Jordan partnered with Nike and started releasing new sneaker designs every season. Every Air Jordan is manufactured with premium materials, chic style, and perfect for men and women for various occasions.

The Air Jordan 2 model was released in 1986 in red and white colors. The design was hoodie by Bruce Kilgore and Peter Moore. Compared to Air Jordan 1, the price was increased because Nike wanted to create a line of luxury and high-quality sneakers. Another difference was in the logo. The designers of Air Jordan 2 replaced Nike's "Swoosh" and put Jordan Wings on the shoe's tongue.

The AJ 2 success was hard to achieve because the first generation was a blast. The Air Jordan 2 had limited colors and was not as diverse in design as the AJ 1. Jordan also had a foot injury that forced him to skip some of the NBA games in 1985-86; the sales went down, allowing the rivals to imitate similar color patterns and designs of their shoes.

When released again, the Chicago Bulls cheerleaders wore the Air Jordan 2 sneaker prototype, and the final version was seen on Michael, looking more stylish.

The Air Jordan 2 was made of premium raging material and faux lizard skin, manufactured in Italy, and the model had a speed lacing system, extended polyurethane heel counter, and cushioning. The AJ 2 sneaker was available only in 30 stores during the first two months after release. The model is perfect for exercising and can last a long time.

Air Jordan 2 was a big risk for both the NBA player and Nike because of the changes they had to apply. However, the final version was successful and gained a lot of popularity.
