SneakersbeShops X ADIDAS ZX8000 "FUTURE"
12 February 2024Following on from their Centennial Lo “Present”, SneakersbeShops and adidas reunite once again to revisit the inaugural Consortium Cup competition, turning their attention this time to the third-round entry: the adidas ZX8000 “Future”.
Moving beyond the “Past” and “Present”, SneakersbeShops looks to the future of fabric applications in footwear, drawing inspiration from the dystopian depictions of earth seen in contemporary science-fiction cinema. Delving into that theme, adidas' ZX8000 is transformed to achieve a dystopic, other-worldly appearance.
Nodding to the harsh, rugged environments synonymous with science-fiction cinema, the sneaker is transformed with an overdyed, earth-toned makeup, as well as ripstop panels, birdseye mesh and 3M accents. There are further details bespoke to the collaboration, too, like “Future” in cursive front at the sidewalls and co-branding worked into the tongues and insole.
The SneakersbeShops x adidas ZX8000 “Future” will launch via SneakersbeShops Launches on the 16th February.
