Philippe Model is a brand that was established in 1978. Its founder is a tremendously important figure in the French art scene. Philippe's brilliant creativity and experience earned him the award of the best craftsman in France in 1981. His first iconic shoe, the Elastique became the symbol of femininity at the time, which foreshadowed the future of footwear. One of the brand’s signature symbols is the coat-of-arms of Paris. One of Philippe Model’s staple sneakers are Tropez X and Paris X - they are characterized by contrasting colour combinations, an athletic silhouette, a lived-in aesthetic and numerous references to the brand’s origins.
