The men's fashion line was launched by a Belgian designer in 1996, over 10 years after she established her eponymous brand. Ann Demeulemeester's brand is a bloody-minded response to minimalism and classic cuts. The brand's style is premised upon high-quality gauzy materials, layering, straight lines and a monochromatic rock and roll-inducing atmosphere. The fashion house draws on punk rock influences and Jackson Pollock's works.
