Design Review Manager,
Charlotte is a native Chicagoan. She graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology with a BArch and subsequently worked for Holabird & Root Architects on university buildings, the Federal Reserve Bank and ultimately on a feasibility study for the Lincoln Park Zoo. Charlotte moved to the UK 29 years ago and spent 21 years living in Liverpool. She worked privately on several housing projects and became Facilities Manager for the then Citizens Advice Bureau in the south of Liverpool. This was followed by becoming the Deputy Director of the Bluecoat Arts Centre in Liverpool where she acted as the client representative working on the £13m restoration and capital development of the Grade 1 listed historic building, working with architects BIQ Architecten. Charlotte then spent nine and a half years as Design Review Manager for the regional design review panel, Places Matter, reviewing over 400 project proposals across the North West of England. She has managed and participated in a number of design competitions, both in the public and private sectors. Charlotte has relocated to London. Her interests lie in housing and urban public realm, particularly in how they are used, adapted and integrated over time and in their place.
