The Manser Practice
Jonathan Manser comes from a family of architects, both his father and sister are architects and his mother is an architectural journalist. The family business, The Manser Practice, was formed by his father in the early 1960s, now has offices both in London and Leeds, with a work force of around 35, with projects all over the world. Jonathan is Managing Director. He is regularly invited to act as an awards assessor, including for the RIBA, and as European Hotel Design Awards Chairman of Judges. Current projects include: • Eurocity – Mixed use scheme in Gibraltar consisting of offices, retail and 339 apartments • German Embassy – Redesign of existing German Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia • Private Houses on the Isle of Wight The Practice has and continues to do a wide range of work recently including: • Quintain NW11 • Westminster Tower, Office and Residential, Vauxhall • Spring mews Student Accommodation • New 400 bed Hilton hotel, Wembley Stadium. • New Hilton Hotel at Wembley • Offices for the British Council in Karachi • A new commercial office and adjoining hotel in Manchester, • A mixed use development in Falmouth Harbour, • A new British embassy and offices for DfID in Harare, Zimbabwe, • Yotel schemes in Heathrow, Gatwick and Schiphol airports, • An extension to Norwich Airport, • A new cruise terminal in Southampton. • Past hotel projects include the award winning Terminal Four Hilton at Heathrow, and the renovation of the Great Eastern Hotel, Liverpool Street, in the City of London.
