While the Chicago Bulls were negotiating Michael Jordan’s contract in the ‘80s, sportswear giant Nike was drafting its own deal to get the basketball player on its court. Jordan first sported the style on-court in a preseason game against the New York Knicks, breaking the league’s uniform rules with its debut red and black color palette.
